Strategic hiring of Internet of Things pioneer Ilan Lifshitz enhances its ambient IoT Visibility Platform to become the foremost supply chain tool, generating extensive real-time data for businesses across industries and product categories.

SAN DIEGO, August 2023 – Wiliot, an Internet of Things (IoT) innovator, has announced Ilan Lifshitz as the new Vice President of Platform. This appointment aligns with Wiliot’s goal to integrate advanced AI, machine learning, and generative AI models into its ambient IoT Visibility Platform to enhance supply chain operations.
The Wiliot Visibility Platform supports major corporations in evolving their supply chains by ensuring automation and transparency. It focuses on areas like waste reduction, food safety improvement, staff efficiency enhancement, and carbon emission reduction. Lifshitz will now report to Wiliot CEO Tal Tamir and will oversee cloud, applications, and other pivotal areas of the platform.
“Data is relevant only if it is available and actionable along every step of the supply chain,” said Tamir. He pointed out the platform’s capability to capture comprehensive data and emphasized that “The Wiliot Visibility Platform is capable of capturing more data across the supply chain than ever before possible.” However, the insights derived from AI processing in the Wiliot Cloud will be transformative.
The platform serves as a connector between the digital and physical spheres. It leverages the Wiliot Cloud Platform and IoT Pixels – small, affordable devices without batteries that connect products to the internet. These devices send data to be processed in the Wiliot Cloud, aiding businesses in amplifying their supply chain’s efficiency and profitability.
Lifshitz: deep cloud and platform industry expertise
Tamir further remarked, “Ilan has the deep cloud and platform industry expertise required to enhance our Visibility Platform with new artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing algorithms.” Lifshitz’s central mission will involve scaling the platform to cater to trillions of devices. He’ll incorporate automation, sensing, and AI, granting a holistic view and communication within supply chains.
Real-time supply chain visibility represents “a fundamental breakthrough for ambient IoT which Wiliot enables,” continued Tamir. He elaborated on the platform’s ability to provide insights, emphasizing its potential to understand supply chain intricacies deeply.
Lifshitz will also be charged with the development of a multi-cloud system for optimal scalability and efficient data resource utilization. Additionally, he’ll spearhead the establishment of a user-friendly API environment, ensuring the Wiliot platform can seamlessly integrate with existing systems.
Speaking on his appointment, Lifshitz said, “Wiliot’s Visibility Platform has the built-in capability to become a ubiquitous business-critical platform. It’s customizable to meet specific sector requirements… The positive change that Wiliot creates is inspiring, and I’m proud to join the team as its VP of Platform.”
Before his role at Wiliot, Lifshitz was the VP of Software Development at Cybereason.
