Tosca has opened a new state-of-the-art service centre in Ingolstadt, Germany, according to a company report. The move is expanding its network to meet rising demand for reusable packaging solutions from some of the country’s largest retailers. The downstream-focused facility, which spans 2,700 square metres, is equipped with solar panels for sustainable energy use and advanced technologies designed to deliver efficient, data-driven services.
The addition of Ingolstadt marks a significant expansion of Tosca’s footprint in Central Europe, bringing the company’s total number of service centres in the region to ten. Strategically located, the new facility is designed to cater to the growing demand for Tosca’s innovative reusable plastic products and pooling services, while reducing transport costs and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
The site features RFID gates, scanning equipment, and automation systems to improve data accuracy and provide customers with deeper insights into supply chain performance. “This technology enables Tosca to increase the efficiency and accuracy of their customers’ supply chains, driving growth, operational excellence and sustainability,” the company said in its announcement.
Ingolstadt to Feature Automated Wash Lines, Conveyor Reader
Driven by growing business in plastic half pallet operations, the Ingolstadt centre will play a key role in serving Tosca’s largest downstream customer in Central Europe, as well as one of its key suppliers. To further enhance operational capabilities, a fully automated wash line, including a conveyor reader to automatically update asset status and monitor performance, will be installed in August/September.
“We’re excited to unveil our newest service centre in Ingolstadt, a testament to our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service and value to our customers,” said Marco Gonzalez, Managing Director for Central Europe at Tosca. “This expansion highlights our ability to adapt quickly to market demands, as well as our dedication to growth in reusable plastic packaging solutions across Europe.”
Tosca completed the project in just four months, from the initial site search to operational readiness, showcasing the company’s agility and collaborative approach across all departments.
As Tosca continues to strengthen its European operations, the opening of the Ingolstadt service centre marks another milestone in its ongoing journey of growth, innovation, and sustainability in reusable packaging solutions.
