New product from Shurtape combines durable carton sealing with brand-enhancing custom print options.

Shurtape Technologies, LLC has expanded its custom print packaging line with the introduction of Shurtape® AP 251 Custom-Printed, Production Grade Acrylic Packaging Tape, a new option designed to support both brand messaging and performance in medium-duty applications.
Engineered for manual or automated sealing of medium-weight cartons, AP 251 provides a combination of high visual clarity, UV resistance, and long-lasting adhesion, while enabling logos, handling instructions, or other messaging to be printed directly onto the tape.
“We’re excited to bring AP 251 to market as a high-performance acrylic solution that supports both packaging integrity and brand storytelling,” said Kevin Stamets, Vice President of Product Marketing at Shurtape Technologies. “The goal of Shurtape’s custom print product line is to create a memorable experience that connects with customers and adds a layer of brand recognition to the unboxing process.”
AP 251 uses lock print technology to help protect custom artwork from wear and tear during handling and shipment. The tape’s high-performance acrylic adhesive resists yellowing over time, helping maintain both seal strength and visual appeal from warehouse to delivery.
Designed for light- to medium-weight cartons, AP 251 is also formulated to hold up in extreme cold environments, offering consistent bonding during transit and storage. The product’s clarity ensures that printed branding or instructions remain readable and cleanly presented throughout the supply chain.
Shurtape AP 251 Reinforces Point of Delivery Branding
For packaging operations looking to reinforce branding at the point of delivery, the new offering helps enhance the unboxing experience while delivering reliable performance.
The launch of AP 251 builds on Shurtape’s broader custom print portfolio, which includes solutions based on acrylic, hot melt, water-activated, and eco-friendly film technologies—designed to meet a wide range of packaging and sustainability requirements.
“Whether used in manual or automated carton sealing operations, it offers a dependable seal for light-to medium-weight boxes while reinforcing brand identity at every touchpoint,” the company noted in its announcement.
