Schoeller Allibert to Introduce Maxilog® at Foodex Event

The world’s largest manufacturer of plastic returnable transit packaging (RTP), Schoeller Allibert, has chosen this year’s Foodex show (NEC, 18-20 April) to debut the latest addition to its range of bulk containers – Maxilog® – with an introductory promotion.

A strong, light and hygienic solution for bulk transportation of a variety of fresh produce and food products, the new Maxilog® is up to 20% lighter than previous bulk containers which contributes to reduced fuel costs and increased environmental efficiency. Featuring smooth surfaces and curved corners to avoid build-up of bacteria and make crate washing far easier, Maxilog® is also a highly hygienic solution. The new design sees the introduction of a sloped horizontal surface to help speed up the cleaning process. As the surface is sloped, water can drain at a quicker rate. Additionally, the bulk container can withstand frigid temperatures making it ideal for the storage and transportation of frozen or chilled products including ready meals, frozen goods and meat and poultry.

Able to safely carry loads of up to 450g and stacking to ten units high for a combined weight of 4.5 tonnes, Maxilog® also offers enhanced strength which belies its lighter weight.
