Hoppichler Pallets, Bins, Wooden Packaging Materials Spol Sro based in Kaplice, Czech Republic will expand its range of offerings under new ownership.

Rotom, one of the largest European suppliers of sustainable load carriers and services, is expanding its infrastructure and production capacity through the acquisition of Hoppichler Pallets, Bakken, Wooden Packaging Materials Spol Sro based in Kaplice, Czech Republic.
Hoppichler Pallets, Bins, Wooden Packaging Materials Spol Sro has produced and supplied large quantities of high-quality wooden pallets and load carriers for over 20 years for various industrial customers, mainly in Austria and Germany. Their customers include major European companies from the automotive and consumer goods industry, furniture manufacturers, beverage bottlers, and transport companies.
The new acquisition will retain a separate identity and brand name for the time being and will also focus more on building up activities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the future. Supported by the Rotom Group and its extensive product portfolio, it aims to significantly increase its market share outside of wood products.
Even after the company’s transfer to the Rotom Group, the factory will continue to work very closely with Hoppichler GmbH in Austria. In addition, Mr. Hoppichler will guide and support the Company’s operations for up to one year. Hoppichler GmbH in Austria, which operates independently and is owned by the Hoppichler Private Foundation and Mr. Friedrich Hoppichler, remains unaffected by the acquisition.
Hoppichler Pallets to expand product line
Due to the integration of Hoppichler Pallets, Bakken, Wooden Packaging Materials Spol Sro into the Rotom Group, its product line will expand. In the future, it will offer a wider range of sustainable load carriers and services, including pallet pooling, packaging management, and pallet repair.
This makes the company a welcome addition to the Rotom Group and its activities and growth strategy in the European market. Rotom supports companies with logistics resources for transport and storage in 10 countries in Europe. This growth will create an even stronger presence, serving the European market from autumn 2022 with 27 offices in 10 countries. The group’s turnover in 2022 will exceed 210 million euros, and the number of employees will exceed 500 people.
In the future, the company will be represented in the Czech Republic by the experienced director of Rotom Germany and Rotom Austria, Uwe Steingräber. The director is supported by a local team in sales and production. In addition to the expertise of Rotom Group CEO Mr. Arjan Kuiper, extensive resources are also available from Rotom’s headquarters in the Netherlands.
