Rehrig Pacific Company is rolling out new production capacity for its roll-out cart business. Positioned as a leading supplier of recycle bins, commercial containers and roll-out carts to the waste and recycling collection industry, Rehrig Pacific is initiating roll-out cart production to its Orlando, Florida, facility, providing production capacity in the facility during the first half of 2014.
The company has been actively serving the Florida market over the past eight years by producing both 14- and 18-gallon recycling bins in Orlando. In 2010, the Florida Legislature passed a bill requiring the State of Florida to achieve a recycling rate of 75 percent by 2020. At that time, it became apparent that single stream recycling would be one component in that effort.
“By adding cart capacity to our existing Florida operation, we will be able to serve the growing needs of the State of Florida and the region at large,” said Mike Schwalbach, vice president of Rehrig Pacific’s Environmental Group. “Having cart production in central Florida will not only reduce our lead times, but it will also provide our customers with a reduced carbon footprint as well as freight savings.”
Rehrig Pacific’s roll-out carts are designed to withstand the rigors of both fully and semi-automated waste collection systems. They are available in a wide range of sizes for nearly any curbside application including refuse, organic waste and recyclables and roll easily even with heavy loads.
