For Spanish berry producer Fresón de Palos, world leader in the collection, production and marketing of strawberries, red pallets go with strawberries even better than cream. The Cooperative recently signed a partnership agreement with pallet pooling provider LPR.
The Fresón de Palos cooperative is the world’s largest strawberry producer. Founded in 1982 it follows rigorous business principles based on continuous innovation, a search for excellence and teamwork. At the start of this year the cooperative signed a contract with LPR to provide top-quality pallets throughout the 2013 strawberry season, which lasts from February to May.
LPR pallets will be used by Fresón de Palos to service both the Spanish and international markets. “Previously there was only one pallet-pooling operator in this sector but now LPR is offering substantial savings and improved service to many of the principal fruit and vegetable producers. The LPR offer has been warmly welcomed by many of the main distribution chains, which acknowledge our company’s ability to provide reliable and flexible service combined with prompt customer liaison,” says Álvaro Molina, Sales Director for LPR Spain.
“This year we decided to work with LPR as the company offers a high-quality service, transparent management practices and very competitive rates, and it is also expanding constantly in our market sector which will help us optimize our resources,” adds Luis Hernández Bocanegra, Director General of Fresón de Palos. “This agreement is a great opportunity for LPR, as Fresón de Palos is an ideal partner and a leader in its sector, which will enable us to showcase our full range of products and services.”
