MONTREAL — Rebox Corp., a provider of once-used corrugated box reuse services, has appointed Kyle Otting as chief executive officer, effective July 8. He succeeds Mark Young, who co-founded the company in 1990 and will transition to its board of directors.

The leadership change comes as interest continues to grow in reusable and circular packaging solutions. Rebox purchases once-used corrugated boxes from businesses that might otherwise recycle them, then resells the boxes to companies seeking lower-cost alternatives to new corrugated packaging.
The company said it now operates through more than 35 distribution centers across the United States and Canada and serves more than 2,000 customers, including Fortune 500 companies. In addition to sourcing used boxes, Rebox manages inspection, quality control and logistics before redistributing them for reuse.
As CEO, Otting will oversee the company’s strategic direction and expansion efforts across North America while continuing to emphasize customer relationships and operational execution.
Kyle Otting: Two Decades of Reusable Packaging and Logistics Leadership
Otting brings more than two decades of experience in reusable packaging and logistics. Before joining Rebox, he held leadership positions with IFCO Systems and CHEP USA and later served as CEO of 48forty Solutions and PLA Solutions. His experience includes growing national sales organizations, leading acquisitions and delivering sustained revenue and EBITDA growth.
“Kyle is an outstanding leader with deep experience building and scaling reuse-based businesses,” said Young. “Kyle’s track record in reusable packaging, national logistics operations, building strong commercial organizations, and driving customer-centric growth makes him exceptionally well suited to lead Rebox in its next chapter.”
Otting said the company is well positioned to benefit from growing interest in circular economy practices and increasing corrugated packaging costs.
“Rebox is a remarkable business with a dual-sided model that turns once-used boxes into revenue for businesses that would otherwise recycle them and repurposes them as a lower-cost, sustainable alternative for businesses buying new,” Otting said. “The rising cost of new corrugated boxes and the shift towards a more sustainable, circular economy are both strong tailwinds for Rebox, making it more important than ever for businesses to consider alternatives. The foundation is strong and I’m looking forward to working with this team to accelerate our growth.”
Founded more than 30 years ago, Rebox describes itself as North America’s largest buyer and seller of once-used corrugated boxes. The company says its reuse model helps businesses generate value from used boxes while reducing packaging costs and supporting waste reduction initiatives.
