Range International is accelerating its push into pallet rental services after securing a new A$454,000 loan facility to support the expansion of its growing Re>Pal rental pallet fleet.
The Australia-listed company, which manufactures plastic pallets from 100% upcycled plastic waste, said the funding will be used primarily to expand rental pallet deployments following what management describes as a successful validation of the business model earlier this year.
Range produces its Re>Pal pallets using proprietary ThermoFusion™ technology at its manufacturing facility in East Java, Indonesia. The company supplies customers throughout Indonesia and other Asia-Pacific markets, positioning its products as a zero-waste alternative to conventional pallet options.
The secured loan facility was arranged with professional and sophisticated investors and carries a 24-month term. The facility was fully drawn upon execution. Range noted that while some participants are existing shareholders, no directors, related parties, or substantial shareholders participated in the financing.
Rental Pallet Strategy Gains Momentum
The announcement reflects a growing emphasis on recurring revenue opportunities within Range’s business model.
According to the company, the first rental pallet deliveries were completed during early 2026, helping demonstrate the commercial viability of the rental concept. Management says a growing pipeline of opportunities has reinforced confidence in further fleet expansion.
“With the delivery of the first rental pallets in early 2026, the Company has successfully validated the commercial viability of this opportunity,” Executive Chairman Richard Jenkins said in the announcement. He added that the company continues to see a compelling pipeline of rental opportunities throughout 2026.
The move mirrors a broader industry trend toward pallet rental and pooling solutions. While pallet pooling has long been established in North America and Europe, companies across Asia-Pacific are increasingly exploring rental models as they seek to reduce capital expenditures, improve pallet quality consistency, and support sustainability objectives.
For Range, the rental segment represents an opportunity to complement its traditional pallet sales business with a recurring revenue stream while leveraging its existing manufacturing capacity.
New Funding Supports Fleet Expansion
Management said the new financing will allow the company to accelerate growth of its rental pallet fleet and pursue opportunities identified within its current pipeline. The Board has also retained the option to accept additional applications and potentially increase the size of the facility if further capital is needed to support expansion.
The loan carries an interest rate of 18% per annum and is secured against rental pallets manufactured by PT Repal Internasional Indonesia, along with certain manufacturing equipment. The company also has the option to repay the facility early after 18 months.
The interest rate stands out as relatively high compared with traditional commercial lending facilities. However, the arrangement provides immediate access to capital without shareholder dilution through an equity raise. The financing structure suggests management sees a sufficiently strong opportunity in the rental business to justify the higher cost of capital in exchange for faster fleet growth.
Whether that bet pays off will likely depend on how quickly Range can convert its reported pipeline into long-term rental contracts and generate recurring revenues from pallets already placed into service.
The development highlights the growing interest in reusable transport packaging models across Asia-Pacific markets. By combining recycled-content pallet manufacturing with rental and pooling services, Range is pursuing a strategy that seeks to capture both sustainability-driven demand and the operational benefits associated with reusable pallet systems.
As the company expands its rental fleet throughout 2026, industry observers will be watching closely to see whether the model can scale successfully and provide a foundation for future growth.
