The French subsidiary of the PepsiCo group is renewing its historic collaboration with the expert in the rental of pallets and boxes IPP (ex Logipal), a subsidiary of Faber Halbertsma Group. This new agreement provides for the management of a pool of 900,000 pallets for the snack division of the American giant.
With exceptional growth for more than 25 years, and 15 brands under its belt in France, PepsiCo France is one of the most emblematic companies in the agrifood sector. To support it in securing its supplies, the French subsidiary of the multinational has chosen to renew its historic collaboration with the pallet pooling company IPP. The latter will ensure the delivery and management of an annual volume of 900,000 pallets in France, from PepsiCo’s production centers to mass distribution, for its snacks division marketing leading brands such as Lay’s or Bénénuts.
“IPP has supported the growth of the PepsiCo group in Europe for almost 14 years now. Both during periods of seasonal peaks and when there were strong tensions on the transport market. We ensure and secure its supplies by providing quality pallets perfectly suited for increasingly mechanized and automated Supply Chains, “commented Thibaut Esnée, Country Director of IPP France.
By renewing its confidence in IPP and its “brick-brown” color pallets, the PepsiCo group is also choosing to be part of a circular economy promoting the reuse and recycling of wood raw materials. “With each rotation, our rental pallets are sorted and repaired, making it possible to multiply the number of reuses while guaranteeing the level of quality expected by manufacturers of consumer products. At the end of their life, the wood on our pallets, coming from PEFCTM and FSC® certified forests, is then used for heating energy and other related products,” Esnée concluded.
