The 2022 ORBIS IBIE booth will showcase:
Best in Baking award recipient: XpressBulk® retail-ready Merchandising Trays
Launching at IBIE, the XpressBulk retail-ready Merchandising Trays offer a sustainable, efficient replacement for the manual shelf-replenishment process by allowing for a fast and easy transfer of product from the truck directly to the store floor. The merchandising tray, recipient of a 2022 IBIE Best in Baking award in the plant efficiency category, is available in the industry standard 40×24 footprint and can be transported two ways depending on the base selection — two trays side by side on a large-format 40×48 pallet or stacked on a small-format 100×60 dolly — to meet the needs of any operation.
Engineered to simplify distribution and improve labor efficiency in a wide variety of applications in the baked goods industry, this packaging solution allows for seamless transport off the truck and right into the retail store. Built with ORBIS’ dedication to sustainability in mind, the XpressBulk Merchandising Trays provide a sustainable replacement of cardboard-boxed products in the supply chain, helping companies to reduce their environmental footprint while improving their product handling.
Bakery trays/dolly systems
ORBIS’ bakery systems are designed for the efficient flow of baked goods throughout the supply chain, from the bakery to retail store shelves and restaurant storage rooms. Systems are designed to maximize labor, transportation, and storage efficiency while minimizing costs and environmental impact. Maximize impact by combining bakery trays with pallets or dollies to quickly ship and merchandise baked goods.
PlastiCorr® reusable plastic box
PlastiCorr® reusable plastic box is a direct replacement for corrugated fiber boxes that can be reused over 70 times with no change to pack count of pallet configurations. This sustainable solution works seamlessly with existing automated packaging lines and is ideal for primary packaging applications. The patented design of the PlastiCorr box allows the box’s flaps to fold and straighten like new every time, and the dimensional consistency of the box allows it to work seamlessly with existing automated packaging lines.
OpteBulk™ system
An optimal replacement for single-use fiber corrugated boxes and wooden pallets, the OpteBulk™ system is a pallet, sleeve and top cap system designed to efficiently handle and transport bulk products in bakery supply chains. Ideal for both manual and automated environments, the OpteBulk system offers sustainability, transportation and cost-saving benefits. Plus, the container’s lightweight design and active latch technology allow one person to easily engage and disengage the sleeves from the pallet for fast, efficient assembly.
In addition to featuring its bakery product handling solutions, ORBIS experts will be available to provide insights and more details about the latest trends in the baking industry, including the adoption of automation and the importance sustainability plays in promoting a circular economy.
