Monroe Americana Tracks Reusable Containers

The challenge faced by Argentina’s second largest pharmaceutical wholesaler Monroe Americana was that its reusable containers did not always return after being shipped out of the warehouse with an order. Monroe Americana found that its recovery rate was far below its expected level. At a cost averaging $7 per container, the company set a goal of tracking movements to better understand the returning behaviors of customers, utilizing passive EPC GEN 2 RFID tags affixed to the containers.
