Millwood, Inc. (, an industry leading solution provider of unit load and packaging materials and services, announced the promotions of Greg Jarvis and Doug Gaier recently.

Millwood’s Gaier and Jarvis

Jarvis, who is presently the director of regional sales, will become the director of supply integration, sustainability & logistics services. In the new position, Jarvis will focus on developing new supply relationships with lumber and pallet producers in the key markets serviced by Millwood, expanding the recycling services Millwood offers its customers and broadening Millwood’s third party logistics and transportation offerings.
Gaier will become the new director of regional sales, overseeing the company’s field sales, sourcing and customer service efforts. For the past three years, he has been a strategic national accounts manager, servicing the needs of Millwood’s corporate level accounts. Gaier also oversaw the development of regional territories in the Southeast, Southwest and the West.

The new position created for Jarvis furthers Millwood’s goal of providing a broader range of services to its customers on a national basis. “We continue to put a major emphasis on servicing national accounts with pallets, recycling and logistics services,” says Ron Ringness, executive vice president, sales, marketing & technology. “And since recycling is such an important component of our customers’ sustainability initiatives, we want top talent in charge of these strategic programs.”

Jarvis says his first priority will be to develop closer relationships, including dedicated capacity, with approximately 20 of Millwood’s 100 partner pallet mills in key markets.

In addition, he will work with existing manufacturing customers to reduce their pallet costs by developing closed loop systems for recycled pallets. “We’ve had great success managing pallets for some of our customers, and we’d like to extend that to recycling other products, like paper and plastic, as well,” Jarvis says.

Finally, he will work on expanding Millwood’s burgeoning logistics services business, including transportation services for key customers.
“The pallet industry is consolidating and evolving,” Jarvis says. “We want to lead the way in those changes by offering our customers more products, services and value.”

Millwood Incorporated is a worldwide industry leader and innovator of unit load and packaging systems, materials and services as well as a leading supplier of new, used and reconditioned pallets.
