Loadhog Ltd, an employee-owned company, has opened a new subsidiary in the U.S. This new entity, Loadhog Inc., will be based in Chicago, Illinois.
The establishment of Loadhog Inc came after the rapid growth of Pallet Lid sales within the US in 2019. Mike Crowder, the US General Manager of the new subsidiary, is the sole worker for the branch. However, he is slowly starting to recruit employees within the sales and administration departments. The new recruits will assist in growing Loadhog’s market share within the US and service international customers.
Loadhog Inc will increase the companies warehousing space by an impressive 10,000 sq ft, allowing for increased racking and storage facilities. The new building will house office space for employees and a showroom to showcase Loadhog products to local visitors.
With many of their customers originally having to go through the UK headquarters for the servicing of their Loadhog products, the Chicago division will allow for a speedier, efficient, and improved process.
The new investment has been facilitated by the increased demand for returnable packaging through the rising awareness of the negative effects of single-use packaging on the world. More and more companies globally are looking for sustainable solutions to lower their carbon footprint and avoid plastic tax penalties.
Loadhog Inc will work alongside the UK, replicating its proven processes to create the same success over the pond. Loadhog plans to grow the Chicago base further in the future to also manufacture within the US rather than just housing the products.
“Establishing the site in Chicago has opened up huge opportunities for Loadhog to not only move into new markets but to improve on existing relationships and services,” said Crowder. “Loadhog employee-owners are excited about the forecasted growth, working collaboratively across sites towards our 2023 vision.”
