In January 2019, Loadhog Limited created its first subsidiary, Loadhog Sarl. This new entity is based in France, in the city of Obernai which is just 25km south of Strasbourg (Alsace).
The creation of this employee-owned subsidiary became necessary to support the steady international growth Loadhog has shown over the last 3 years. Michel Barda, the director of this new subsidiary, is accompanied by a dozen employees who will assist in starting up this new structure that will further improve the company’s ability to service international customers.
Michel Barda commented, “This new subsidiary is a milestone investment for the company and it is one that all employee-owners can get excited about. We have filled new positions in operations, accounting and administration and are future proofing this new structure for further forecasted growth.”
Loadhog Sarl will not only increase the company’s warehousing space outside of the UK but will also increase production capacities with a new assembly area being incorporated, enabling the completion of flagship products.
The new 1,000m² building will also house office space for Loadhog Sarl staff with an attached showroom as well as a maintenance workshop for the servicing of products such as the Loadhog Pally and Pallet Lid. With many retailers, manufacturers, postal and automotive customers within Europe originally having to go through the headquarters in the UK to service their returnable packaging this new entity enables a significantly improved service.
These new investments have been facilitated by increased demand for sustainable packaging within the logistics sector with more and more companies asking for packaging solutions to replace outdated consumable alternatives. Loadhog has also increased its capacities through other means. The company recently installed two new injection molding machines at its headquarters in the UK.
