First speakers are announced for the inaugural Industrial Pack Conference to take place in Atlanta.

Industrial Pack Show 2018

Atlanta, February 6, 2018: New industrial, transit and protective packaging trade show Industrial Pack 2018 (taking place April 4 & 5 at the Cobb Centre, Atlanta) has announced an impressive initial line-up of speakers at their inaugural free-to-attend trade show and conference.

Focusing on key issues such as the challenges of sustainability, re-usability, legislation, new materials, reconditioning and numerous other core concerns affecting the future of the packaging industry, the Industrial Pack Conference will tackle these topics and more over the course of the two-day event.

Speakers of note will include Kyle Stavig, Chair of IPANA (Industrial Packaging Alliance of North America) & CEO at Myers Container; A.J Gruber, President of ISTA (International Safe Transit Association); and Tim Debus, President & CEO of RPA (Reusable Packaging Association).

Rod Armstrong, Sales & Marketing Director at CHEP, will take the stage alongside Hawkins Food Group (owners of Pizza Hut and Burger King) to discuss how best to improve the quality and sustainability of industrial, protective and transit packaging without increasing core costs – an issue which is never far from all professional packaging experts’ minds.

“We’re delighted to have so many major league speakers already confirmed for this, our first, conference and event,” stated Tim Rusbridge, Event Manager of Industrial Pack. “Attracting senior representatives from each of the major packaging trade associations, as well as some of the biggest suppliers in industrial packaging, not to mention top quality buyers such as Hawkins Food Group, is hugely exciting. Our visitors are going to hear from the best and get the chance to put their questions to a great cross-section of specialist experts.”

The Industrial Pack Conference will run over both days of the trade show, with different speakers throughout. The full program will be revealed towards the end of February.

Alongside the conference is a full trade show with over 100 exhibitors specializing in industrial, protective and transit packaging, featuring many of the industry’s leading manufacturers including Greif, ILC Dover, Tri-Sure, Industrial Container Services and Letica.

Industrial Pack: New Industrial Packaging Trade Show to Take Place in Atlanta

Industrial Pack. Easyfairs further expands its growing packaging portfolio in the U.S. with the launch of Industrial Pack Atlanta.

September 27, 2018.  Easyfairs UK & Global, part of global top twenty event company Artexis Easyfairs group, has announced the launch of Industrial Pack, a new event concept as part of its extensive network of global packaging events. The inaugural event will take place April 4-5, 2017 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta.

Launched following intensive market research and feedback from the industry, Industrial Pack fills a gap in the market where buyers currently need to attend multiple sector events to source suppliers. As such, it is the only dedicated event for the industrial, protective and transit packaging industry, and already has the committed support of major industry association partners, IPANA (Industrial Packaging Alliance of North America) and RIPA (Reusable Industrial Packaging Association).

The show’s USP is the highly-focused nature of packaging suppliers, whilst also serving all market sectors. Crucial to the event concept is the valuable content, including association conferences and free-to-attend seminars, as well as a co-located networking dinner, golf day and the launch of the Industrial Packaging Awards.

The exhibition will showcase over 120 manufacturers of industrial, transit and protective packaging, including fiber drums, steel drums, industrial bulk containers (IBCs), and pallets, as well as custom-made, corrugated, ruggedized and plastic transit packaging. It will attract over 2,500 buyers from all industry sectors, from food & drink, pharmaceutical and FMCG, to automotive, chemical, oil, construction and engineering.

Matt Benyon, Managing Director of Easyfairs UK & Global, comments: “We are very excited about this new launch, taking our portfolio to a new city and serving a specific community sector. Industrial and transit packaging is represented within of many of our large European packaging shows, but it is reflective of the size and importance of this type of packaging (with 40% of the global packaging industry being industrial, transit and protective) that we are bringing this new brand to market. Atlanta was a perfect fit for our first event, with the US being the second largest global producer of industrial packaging.”

This is the second launch the exhibition organizer has made in the US, with the inaugural ADF&PCD (Aerosol Dispensing Forum & Packaging of Perfumery, Cosmetics & Design) in New York in September 2016 being hailed a huge success, an ultra-niche event for the beauty and aerosol industries. Off the back of fantastic exhibitor and visitor feedback, its second edition is already a sell-out event with over 130 exhibitors.

These launches strengthen Easyfairs’ rapidly growing international packaging portfolio, already comprising the Packaging Innovations, Empack, Luxury Packaging, Label&Print, Pentawards, ADF and PCD brands, which all have a successful track record of serving specific communities across the globe. The launch of Industrial Pack takes the portfolio to 42 events in 12 countries and 19 cities.
