European wood pallet producers will be converging on Brussels this October. FEFPEB, the European Federation of Wooden Pallet and Packaging Manufacturers will be holding its annual congress in Brussels, Belgium this October 24. Organizers say this is the outstanding platform to reflect on the state of affairs of the EU wooden pallet and packaging industry.
The meeting offers a mix of interesting presentations, dealing with actual trends and topics and excellent networking opportunities for manufacturers and suppliers.
After the global dimension of Interpal VIII in 2013, with participants from all parts of the world and a full scale program, the 2014 congress will have a small-scale format, an internal FEFPEB event. With the recently held elections for the European Parliament and the formation of a new European Commission, the obvious choice for the congress venue 2014 is Brussels, the capital of Europe.
The FEFPEB Executive Committee is currently arranging a very interesting agenda with focus on topics such as:
- Competitiveness of the EU manufacturing industry and the EU strategy and policy
- Global timber trends, current and future impact biomass allocated for energy
- ISPM 15: Political and technical aspects (dielectric heating)
- Drying of timber and moisture content
- Implementation EUTR
The program begins Thursday evening, October 23 with a reception and dinner, and concludes at 2:00 pm on Friday October 24, following business sessions and lunch. Attendance is capped at 80 people. For more information, visit www.fefpeb.org.
