It marks a significant step in Doleco’s commitment to enhancing its domestic production and service efficiency, positioning it firmly among top U.S. manufacturers in this sector.
“Doleco’s expansion into Charlotte enhances our ability to produce superior, customized slings and securement solutions right here in the U.S.,” explained Ralph Abato, president and managing director of Doleco USA. “This move not only boosts our operational agility but also improves our responsiveness to our customers’ unique needs.”
In collaboration with Vestian, a global advisory firm focused on occupier services, Doleco secured the facility that will accelerate the production and delivery of its notable products such as the DoNova PowerLash Textile Lashing Chain, PowerLift Textile Chain Sling, and various advanced decking systems.
Technological Excellence and Custom Solutions
The Charlotte facility is equipped with sophisticated sewing operations for creating specialized textile securement products tailored to customer requirements. It includes innovative machinery for producing round slings and customizable DoNova Textile Chains, which utilize Dyneema fiber for unmatched strength and lightweight properties.
Testing and Certification Capabilities
Central to the facility is a 224,000-pound-capacity, computer-controlled tensile testing machine. This high-tech equipment ensures all products undergo rigorous validation and meet the stringent safety and durability standards required for working load limits (WLL) certification.
Economic Growth and Community Impact
Under the guidance of operations manager Rob Snyder, the new site has begun hiring, with plans to expand the workforce significantly in the coming years. Doleco’s presence in Charlotte is expected to deliver substantial economic benefits to the area and foster robust community engagement, supported by collaborations with organizations like the German American Chamber of Commerce.
“We are excited to welcome our customers and showcase our new capabilities and innovations here in Charlotte,” added Abato. “We believe they will be impressed not only with our advanced facility and solutions but also with the vibrant community of Charlotte itself.”
