CSIRO awards $2m funding to manufacturing start-up

An Australian organic manufacturer with big aspirations has secured almost $2 million in government funding from CSIRO to aid its ambitions to take a slice of the multibillion dollar global export pallet market. If I interpret the story correctly, it seems that it is saying that it hopes to create a $2 billion business within 5 years!

Biofiba, based in NSW, produces a simulated 100% natural composite made from hemp fibre and natural starches, replacing timber, plastic and polystyrene in the manufacture of export pallets. The story does not indicate projected price point for their product. Read more.
