Container Centralen is split into two

For more than 40 years Container Centralen has served its European customers with Reusable Transport Items (RTI’s). On January 27 of this year, the two shareholders of Container Centralen A/S split the organization to optimize the companies activities. One company is focusing entirely on the Horticulture supply chain and the other company is completely active in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) supply chain.

The Management Team of Container Centralen understands and supports the decision to split the company. We are convinced that this demerger will lead to two specialized companies resulting in the acceleration, expansion, and improvement of their services for customers in the two distinctive supply chains.

Horticulture company

The VGB, the association of Dutch horticultural wholesalers, is the sole shareholder of the horticulture part of Container Centralen in Europe. The current product portfolio of this company will be the CC Container, CC Half-container, and the CC Eurocontainer.

The name Container Centralen stays the same, as well as existing services. The staff primarily dedicated to customers in the horticultural industry is working in this company.

FMCG company

Erhvervsinvest (EI), a Danish investment company, is the sole shareholder of the FMCG part in Europe. The product portfolio of this company includes the CC (Euro) Rolly, the CC (Euro) Dolly, the CC Rollcontainer, and CC Freshbox. The staff primarily dedicated to customers in FMCG is working in this company.

EI is also owning Pool Service B.V. in Deventer, the Netherlands which manages the pool of CBL crates on behalf of Stichting Versfust. In addition, EI has become the sole shareholder of CC Inc. which serves the horticultural market with Reusable Transport Items in the United States.
