Supply chain solutions company CHEP U.S. climbs to the top 3% in its industry for sustainability efforts

CHEP U.S., a leading global supply chain solutions provider and a subsidiary of Brambles, has once again received the prestigious EcoVadis Gold medal for its outstanding sustainability efforts. EcoVadis, a trusted organization that evaluates sustainability in global supply chains, recognized CHEP U.S.’s remarkable achievements for the second consecutive year. In 2023, the company significantly improved its EcoVadis score, placing it in the top 3% for its category of ‘renting and leasing of machinery, equipment, and tangible goods,’ compared to the top 7% in the previous year. (Meanwhile, CHEP Canada achieved a Platinum rating. Read more about that here.)
At the core of CHEP’s sustainability model is a circular business approach that emphasizes sharing, repairing, and reusing pallets and platforms throughout the supply network. The company’s commitment to making a positive impact on businesses, communities, and the environment is evident through its pursuit of various targets. CHEP’s proven track record in achieving its goals, along with recent progress toward its 2025 targets, contributed to the improved EcoVadis scores in the environment, labor, and human rights categories.
“While EcoVadis was designed to help companies assess the sustainability credentials of their suppliers, its comprehensive approach provides valuable feedback and validation to sustainability-driven companies like CHEP,” said Jim Hartzfeld, Brambles’ Head of Sustainability for North America in highlighting the significance of the EcoVadis recognition. “We’re proud to see CHEP’s EcoVadis ranking increase each year as a reflection of our growth mindset and regenerative ambition. Together, CHEP and its customers, partners, and stakeholders are delivering a positive impact for the supply network of the future.”
