CHEP has appointed Jonas Glöckler as Country General Manager for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH), placing him in charge of driving growth across one of the company’s key European markets while helping customers strengthen supply chain resilience and sustainability initiatives.
Based in the DACH region, Glöckler will lead CHEP’s operations and commercial strategy in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The company said he will focus on expanding market opportunities and supporting customers as they seek more efficient and sustainable supply chain solutions.
CHEP, part of the Brambles Group, operates one of the world’s largest pooling networks for pallets, crates, and containers. The company has increasingly emphasized circular economy solutions as manufacturers, retailers and logistics providers look for ways to reduce waste, improve asset utilization, and lower supply chain emissions.
Leadership Experience Across the Consumer Goods Sector
Glöckler brings more than 14 years of experience in senior commercial leadership roles within the consumer packaged goods sector. During his career, he has held leadership positions with Danone Waters and Andros and has worked extensively in both branded and private-label markets. Most recently, he served as Country Manager and International Drugstore Director at Reckitt.
Marco Moritsch, Regional General Manager, Accelerating Markets Europe at CHEP, said Glöckler’s experience aligns well with the company’s customer-focused growth strategy.
“I am delighted to welcome Jonas as Country General Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. His extensive market expertise, strong customer focus and passion for employee development will further increase the added value we create for our customers and advance our sustainable business model,” Moritsch stated.
Supporting More Resilient Supply Chains
Glöckler said he sees growing opportunities to help companies improve logistics performance while advancing sustainability goals.
“I am very much looking forward to this new role and working with the DACH team to create added value for our customers. We want to support companies of all sizes in making their logistics more efficient through intelligent solutions while simultaneously reducing their environmental footprint. Our circular economy model is a key factor in building future-proof and resilient supply chains,” Glöckler explained.
The appointment comes as many European manufacturers and retailers continue to invest in supply chain efficiency, circular packaging systems and strategies designed to improve resilience amid ongoing economic and geopolitical uncertainty.
CHEP manages approximately 347 million pallets and containers through a network of more than 750 service centers worldwide. The company employs roughly 11,000 people and serves customers across consumer goods, fresh produce, beverage, retail, automotive and industrial manufacturing sectors.
