FalConic sleeve pack system offers enhanced ergonomics and improved foldability. The new reusable equipment enhances efficiency and sustainability in lightweight packaging.

Madrid, October 2024 – CHEP, a leader in reusable packaging solutions, has announced the launch of its new FalConic Container. The container was unveiled during FachPack 2024, one of Europe’s premier trade fairs for packaging, technology, and processing. The event, held from September 24 to 26 in Nürnberg, provided the first public showcase of this cutting-edge, sustainable packaging solution.
The FalConic Container is a stackable, reusable sleeve pack system designed for the handling, storage, and transportation of light, dry cargo such as pots, tubs, trays, and lids. Designed and launched by the Pallecon division of CHEP Europe, it represents a significant milestone in CHEP’s commitment to providing innovative, high-quality solutions to meet the evolving needs of industries such as lightweight packaging, co-packing, and e-commerce. Combining efficiency and sustainability, the FalConic Container is set to revolutionize how businesses handle, store, and transport goods.
Helping companies adjust to upcoming packaging regulations
Sustainability is at the core of CHEP’s mission, and the FalConic Container is no exception. Constructed from 80% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, it offers a reusable alternative to single-use transport packaging.
By adopting CHEP’s circular pooling model, businesses can reduce their reliance on single-use packaging, significantly minimizing their environmental impact. The container’s extreme foldability also allows for optimized warehouse storage and reduces the number of trucks needed for transport, directly contributing to reducing carbon emissions.
“The FalConic Container is a true testament to our commitment to innovation, resilience, sustainability and an excellent customer experience in the supply chain,” said Nicholas Gibbons, General Manager of CHEP Pallecon, Europe. “With Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation now guiding the industry, it’s essential to meet re-usability and recycled content targets. The FalConic Container was developed with this vision in mind and guided by our customers’ feedback. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the industry.”
FalConic container: excellence in design and functionality
The FalConic Container is designed with both efficiency and usability in mind. With a load capacity of up to 600 kg and a 1,014-liter volume, the container is equipped with an automatic sleeve locking mechanism that eliminates the need for stretch wrap, reducing labour costs and streamlining operations.
The enhanced base pallet design allows for seamless integration with automated clamps, making it an ideal solution for both manual and automated processes. Its ergonomic design ensures ease of use for a diverse workforce by eliminating the need for bending when securing the sleeve.
The FalConic Container joins the new ZirConic® Container, winner of the latest Red Dot Product Design Award, in CHEP Pallecon’s portfolio of innovative and sustainable products. It will be available for customers to use from early 2025.
