Fourth-time recipient of EcoVadis’ Platinum maintains top 1% sustainability ranking in its industry
TORONTO – For the fourth consecutive year, CHEP, a global leader in supply chain solutions and a Brambles company, has achieved EcoVadis’ highest sustainability rating, Platinum. Notably, CHEP Canada was also recognized as a Best Performer in the EcoVadis Sustainability Leadership Awards for The Americas, further highlighting its commitment to sustainable practices.
Participating in the EcoVadis assessment since 2016, CHEP Canada continuously challenges itself by setting ambitious sustainability targets in both the short and long term. Over the past four years, the company has consistently secured top-performing scores in critical categories such as environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 criteria, including companies’ policies, actions, and reporting across more than 200 industries, and adheres to international CSR standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000.
Frank Bozzo, Vice President and General Manager of CHEP Canada emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability, stating, “At CHEP, we’ve fostered a sustainability culture that pushes us forward every day toward our regenerative ambition through collaboration and innovation. It is CHEP’s circular economy model, talented and passionate employees, and supply chain partners that enable us to achieve recognitions like EcoVadis’ Platinum rating for our sustainability ambitions, and we’re grateful for the opportunity.”
CHEP’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its circular business model, which involves the sharing, repair, and reuse of its 360 million pooled platforms, leading to significant reductions in supply network waste and emissions for CHEP, its customers, and its partners. This dedication to sustainability has garnered CHEP recognition from EcoVadis, including multiple Platinum designations across Europe and Gold ratings for the U.S., Australia, and Latin America.
