Cabka N.V. and Renewi have announced the launch of the Eco CP3 pallet, a durable and fully recyclable solution made from 100% recycled polyethylene sourced from Renewi. The collaboration combines Renewi’s expertise in sustainable waste management with Cabka’s innovation in recycled plastic engineering, offering a reusable pallet designed to withstand more than 25 trips.
“This collaboration shows how circular thinking and action lead to concrete results: lower costs and a more sustainable product,” said Jan Pedro Vis, Vice President Materials at Renewi. “In a market where virgin plastic is still often the preferred choice, we are proving that quality and circularity can indeed go hand in hand.”
The Eco CP3 pallet is produced in Renewi’s signature blue livery, making it easy to identify as a recycled product. Renewi utilizes the Eco CP3 pallets to transport recycled regrind to Cabka for production, while worn-out pallets are either recycled into new ones or repurposed into other high-quality products. The pallets are not black, making them infrared detectable for sorting, and the investment pays off after only four uses.

“This product development partnership is yet another success story in Cabka’s continuous efforts to make plastics more circular,” said Naiara Lorono, Chief Sales Officer at Cabka. “It underlines that with collaboration across the value chain, truly sustainable solutions can be established.”
Cabka and Renewi emphasize that the pallet meets quality standards, including greater impact resistance and improved stackability. Renewi’s Eindhoven facility produces polyethylene feedstock with a purity of at least 95%, underscoring the technical feasibility of high-quality recycling and its role in reducing CO₂ emissions.
Although the market has tilted temporarily toward virgin plastics, both companies remain focused on advancing circular alternatives. The Eco CP3 pallet demonstrates that a closed-loop, 100% recycled solution can compete with conventional materials while reducing reliance on imported raw resources.
With European policy continuing to push for a circular economy, the collaboration provides a tangible example of industry-led progress. By combining recycled feedstock, advanced processing, and a closed-loop system, Cabka and Renewi are proving that circularity can deliver both environmental and financial benefits.
Sidebar: What Makes the Eco CP3 Pallet Different
100% recycled content: Made entirely from polyethylene sourced from Renewi’s advanced sorting facility.
Closed-loop system: Pallets carry Renewi’s regrind to Cabka, where it is then recycled into new pallets or repurposed.
Durability: Designed for more than 25 trips, reducing reliance on single-use or virgin plastic pallets.
Early payback: Investment breaks even after just four uses.
Infrared detectable: Non-black design ensures efficient end-of-life sorting and recycling.
Performance: Enhanced impact resistance and improved stackability.
Bottom line: A circular pallet that proves recycled plastics can deliver cost savings, quality, and sustainability.
