Congratulations to the Springfield, MO plant of Buckhorn Inc., a leading provider of reusable plastic packaging and material handling systems, has been accepted into The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) by the State of Missouri and OSHA. SHARP is an exemplary program available for small employers with 250 employees or less who participate in the Missouri On-Site Safety and Health Consultation Program. It is designed to honor small businesses that operate effective safety and health management programs. There are currently only 35 companies across Missouri that have met the requirements of this program.
“Everyone worked diligently to make the plant perform at a high level of safety awareness and actions,” said Larry Spilker, Springfield Plant Manager. “We look forward to continuing this same level of dedication in the years ahead as we make this facility the safest place to work.”
State and OSHA officials presented Buckhorn with the SHARP flag and certificate during a ceremony at the Springfield facility on November 26, 2013. Company officials and plant employees were invited to attend.
“Achieving SHARP status takes teamwork,” commented Spilker. “Every employee deserves recognition for being a part of this outstanding accomplishment.”
