Axios Mobile Assets Corp. has signed a contract with a leading egg supplier in the United States representing the largest single contract the Company has ever received for its pallet and technology platform. Once rollout under the agreement is complete, Axios will have approximately doubled the size of its active pallet fleet.
This contract – the eighth for Axios with a major US egg producer – will expand its pallet and logistics solutions into the Southeast, South, and Southwest regions, supporting product shipments into several perishable foods distribution centers. Axios expects to begin service to the customer in June 2016.
“An order of this magnitude enables Axios to achieve significant new levels of operational efficiency and revenue generating capacity,” said Richard MacDonald, President and CEO of Axios. “Our pallet pooling team looks forward to executing a smooth rollout to this new strategic customer and ensuring that we make the most of the economies of scale and other opportunities facilitated by the two new contracts announced since the beginning of 2016.”
Inventory management and other measures have been taken throughout the first two quarters of the year to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers anticipated by the Company. Axios remains on track to meet its goal of supporting shipments to over 40 Distribution Centres nationwide by the end of 2016.
