Alasdair Hamblin assumes the position of Managing Director for CHEP’s operations in Northern Europe.
Alasdair Hamblin has taken on the role of leading the team in Northern Europe, assuming commercial responsibility for CHEP‘s operations in the UK and Ireland. His primary focus is to drive innovation, sustainability, and exceptional customer experiences within the region. Reporting directly to David Cuenca, President of CHEP Europe, Alasdair Hamblin aims to spearhead conversations and initiatives that foster smarter, more efficient, and environmentally-friendly supply chains through digital transformation and collaborative efforts.
“The current state of the supply chain industry presents an exciting opportunity for retailers, manufacturers, and logistics specialists to address shared challenges,” Hamblin stated in a CHEP announcement, expressing his enthusiasm. “We possess a distinct advantage where we can lead discussions and catalyze change across the sector, resulting in more streamlined and sustainable supply chains through the power of digitalization and collaboration.”
Prior to his appointment, Alasdair Hamblin joined the Brambles Group in 2018 as Senior Vice President & Group Head of Strategy, subsequently assuming the role of Chief Strategy and Customer Experience Officer in 2021. He boasts an extensive professional background, having held various positions within General Electric (GE) in Italy, the UK, and the US. Additionally, he has gained valuable experience at renowned consulting firms McKinsey & Company and Accenture. Mr. Hamblin’s educational achievements include an MBA from INSEAD and an MA from Oxford University.
