Two Industry Veterans Elected Co-Chairs of the Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions Association

Peter Longo, president of logistics and operations at Macy’s Inc, and, and Randy Salley, vice president of IT supply chain systems at Hewlett-Packard, were unanimously elected to co-chair the Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions (VICS) Association for 2011-2013 by the organization’s Board of Directors. They replace VICS chairperson, Bill Holder, vice president & CIO of Dillard’s.

Longo, who has been on the VICS board since 2009, joined Macy’s in 1995 as senior vice president for logistics and distribution. He was named executive vice president in 1999 and became president in 2000 for the New Jersey-based Macy’s logistics and operations division (formerly known as Federated Logistics and Operations).

Salley, who joined the VICS board in 2002, is vice president of HP IT global supply chain systems, including SAP, direct procurement, distribution, transportation, manufacturing and B2B. Prior to joining HP in 2006, Salley had a 26-year career at Wal-Mart Stores, where he held various technical and leadership position including global vice president of information technology.
