The Power of Pink: Litco Offers High Vis 48″x40″ Pink Plastic Pallets

LITCO INTERNATIONAL PINK PLASTIC PALLETSPlastic pallets are often employed in distribution networks where their rugged yet light-weight construction and extended service lives provide superior value. Unfortunately, these same features, in conjunction with the scrap value of plastic, makes plastic packaging and pallets attractive to thieves.

In regard to pallet control, pallet pool rental companies use a variety of color schemes to identify their pallets and prevent losses (most notably red or blue), but plastic pallet manufacturers have been slow to deviate from traditional black and blue resins when producing pallets for end users, suggests Litco International.  With this in mind, Litco is now offering a new, high visibility, 48″ x 40″ pink plastic pallet that provides supply chain and logistics decision makers a quick and cost effective way to visually identify pallets belonging to their pools.

And although creating a highly visible plastic pallet to combat losses appealed to Litco’s Product Specialist, Joseph Morella, the pink color choice is more than a new theft prevention tactic.  “October is widely recognized as breast cancer awareness month, and each fall we see examples of various companies and organizations using pink to promote awareness,” Joseph notes. “With this said, each day, women throughout the world receive breast cancer diagnoses or lose their lives to this deadly, but curable disease.  We sought an ongoing corporate initiative to promote breast cancer awareness and the pink pallet was the result of this effort.”  Litco international is committed to donating $2.00 from each pink pallet sale to The Breast Cancer Awareness Research Foundation.
