iGPS Announces Appointment of Richard DiStasio as Chief Executive Officer

Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS Company, LLC) has announced Richard “Dick” DiStasio as new Chief Executive Officer of the company. DiStasio brings over 30 years of executive-level experience at leading manufacturing, distribution and service companies, with both domestic and international scope.

“I am thrilled to be joining iGPS, a company that is leading an exciting paradigm shift in the world’s supply chain,” DiStasio said. “iGPS’ innovative pallet and its associated tracking and tracing capabilities are truly revolutionizing how products are being shipped in North America. The marketplace’s enthusiastic response to iGPS—and its world-class customers—is a tremendous base from which to accelerate the company’s growth.”

Among his prior positions, DiStasio served as President, CEO and Chairman of USF Corporation, formerly known as USFreightways Corporation, and CEO for Global Operations of Martin-Brower Company, the world’s largest distributor of products to McDonald’s Corporation. Prior to joining iGPS, DiStasio served as an Operating Advisor to Arbor Investments, a Chicago-based private equity firm.

Until recently, iGPS basked in positive PR, but this year has faced negative publicity about dBDE content in pallets and issues around pallet availability, said to be a key issue in the ConAgra pallet relationship.
