Pallet pooling and production company Faber Halberstma Groep B.V. has appointed Ruud Sondag (53) to its Supervisory Board.
The Board will benefit from Sondag’s extensive knowledge and experience in the field of supply chain management and reverse logistics. He is a majority shareholder of Scherpenzeel BV, among other companies, and is a member of the boards of ProRail, Vebego and De Meeuw Oirschot. Sondag is also the chairperson of the regional broadcasting foundation for Brabant (Stichting Regionale OMr.oep Brabant).
Between 2001 and August 2015, Sondag served as the CEO and member of the Board of Management of the Van Gansewinkel Groep. Prior to this, he held the position of Commercial Director at Nedlloyd Groep.
In addition to Sondag, the Supervisory Board of the Faber Halbertsma Groep consists of Mr A.N.A.M. Smits (current chairperson), Mr K.W.T. Faber, Mr P.J.J.M. Swinkels and Mr H. Hendriks. As of 1 January 2016, Mr Smits will step down as chairperson in accordance with company policy and Mr Swinkels will occupy the role.
