Euro Pool System Draws Attention to Haiti Relief

During the Fruit Logistica fair that took take place from 3rd to 5th February, 2010 in Berlin, Euro Pool System hosted a donation campaign for Haiti.

For each rotation of a Euro Pool rental container registered during the Fruit Logistica fair, the logistic service provider donated 0.25 Eurocent to the stricken area. With three days of fair reaching an average 1.8 million rotations a day, the donation was was expected to reach 13,500 Euros.

Euro Pool believes that the Fruit Logistica fair, an event Euro Pool System attends every year, is a good opportunity to draw attention to the earthquake in Haiti, one of the worst disasters of the last decade. Despite the ongoing relief efforts, relief organisations still urgently need volunteer assistance and money to rebuild. With this initiative, Euro Pool System hopes to make its contribution.

Euro Pool System International B.V. is Europe’s biggest provider of logistic services in the area of multi-way packaging for fresh products. The pool organisation’s 123 million blue and green returnable crates rotate 600 million times a year. Euro Pool System has 45 service centres throughout Europe.
