The European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) is launching a pallet radio show in conjunction with Internet radio station ET-RADIO.de. The pallet show will air live at 7 pm (1 pm Eastern) on 6th October 2014. Entitled “Ingeniously simple – simply ingenious: the EPAL euro pallets magazine”, each week the new format will present practical tips on everything you need to know about euro pallets and helpful background information from the world’s largest open pallet exchange pool. The broadcast will be in German.

The magazine show will be produced in close cooperation with the European transport Internet radio station “ET-RADIO.de – DEIN EUROTRANSPORTRADIO” and is aimed at pallet users, professional lorry drivers and listeners from the entire transportation and logistics industry.

“The medium of Internet radio will bring us very close to the EPAL euro pallet users. The broadcasts will provide listeners with useful information for handling euro pallets on a daily basis and recount interesting background stories. This will help pallet users and professional lorry drivers update their knowledge of the exchange criteria of the wooden load carriers whilst driving. They can then use this knowledge as soon as they make the next delivery on the ramp, for example,” explains Martin Leibrandt, CEO of EPAL.

ET-RADIO.de is available on stationary Internet-radio devices and PCs or on the move via smartphones, laptops, tablets or netbooks. The programs will be led by ET-Radio Programme Director André Sahorn. In his commentaries, interviews, reports and live transmissions, the presenter and former professional truck driver will get to the bottom of questions such as “How does the EPAL exchange system work?” and “How can you identify fake pallets?” among other things. Each one of the hour-long broadcasts will be a mix of six discussions and songs from five decades of musical history.

“The EPAL euro pallet is a success story and it would be impossible to imagine the transportation industry without it. That’s why I’m really looking forward to dealing with such a broad topic – it’s going to be informative, entertaining and interesting,” says André Sahorn.

The latest edition of “Ingeniously simple – simply ingenious: the EPAL euro pallets magazine” will be broadcast at 7pm every Monday and then repeated daily. Listeners will also be able tune into the magazine again on Tuesdays at 3pm, Wednesdays at 11am, Thursdays at 7am and Fridays at 3am. Announcements and further information on the programme are available on the Internet under www.ET-RADIO.de/EPAL.

EPAL European Pallet Association is the umbrella association of licensed producers and repairers of EPAL/EUR-pallets and box pallets founded in 1991. Since August 2013, EPAL has been granting exclusive licenses for the production and repair of euro pallets with the “EPAL in oval” branded marking on four corner blocks. EPAL is globally responsible for the consistent quality of the EPAL load carriers and therefore uses an independent external quality inspection service. EPAL is present in nineteen countries with fourteen national committees which have committed themselves to implementing the EPAL objectives.
