ECR Italy has published a new guideline for pallet exchange.

The updated operating procedure covers the management of EPAL pallet exchange processes and interface methods between manufacturers and retailers, including an agreement framework to support the exchange processes. Five years since the introduction of the original pallet exchange recommendations (produced by ECR Italy in 2001), the new version has benefited from the feedback of large-scale retail trade and name brand industry players. The result of this analysis is a new recommendation which, while borrowing a number of key aspects from the previous recommendation, introduces a new contractual framework to support the system in order to ensure the recommendation will be widely applied to ensure utmost efficiency and convenience of the system.
