CHEP Pallet Thieves Caught Redhanded

Here’s one more reminder of the importance of site security, pallet safeguarding, and the importance of good control of reusable assets such as pallets through products such as 2ic Pallets.

In Australia, two forklift drivers were caught stealing pallets from a Brisbane transport company by a co-worker who arrived at work early. The men were allegedly working with a local pallet company owner, who was said to be driving the truck that the pallets were loaded onto. The movements were caught on CCTV from neighboring businesses. Several days later the men were intercepted by police while trying to steal more pallets, according to prosecution. The CHEP pallets stolen were valued at $26.50 each, and as such have value on the black market, the court heard.
