CHEP Aerospace Solutions and ACL Airshop Enter into a Strategic Agreement

CHEP Aerospace Solutions, the outsourced ULD Management and Repair solutions provider, and ACL Airshop, the ULD short-term leasing specialist, have signed a strategic collaboration agreement which will combine the strengths of both companies to provide smarter and more comprehensive ULD solutions to their customers.

The agreement will benefit the customers of both parties through an expanded fleet and service network. Through the addition of CHEP’s global repair network to their existing service network, ACL Airshop will grow from 32 airports stocking ULDs, nets and straps to 68 stations across the globe. In parallel, CHEP will be able to count upon access to ACL Airshop’s large network and diverse ULD fleet as well as their production capability for pallet nets and straps. The agreement will also enable CHEP and ACL Airshop, which, combined, own the world’s largest pool of ULDs, to explore joint service offerings in other areas and ensure security of supply for their current and future customers.

CHEP Aerospace Solutions President, Dr. Ludwig Bertsch, said: “Our Global MRO and ULD Management Solutions have grown substantially in recent years and our cooperation with ACL Airshop will enable CHEP Aerospace Solutions to continue to develop smarter MRO and ULD Management solutions, whilst delivering the highest levels of operational excellence, customer service and value for our customers that we have built our reputation upon.”

ACL Airshop General Manager, Jos Jacobsen, said: “This is a watershed moment in the ULD Leasing Market; the increased number of ULDs now available in multiple global locations, together with the nets and straps provided through our manufacturing facility translates into maximum flexibility and service for our customers. This will allow our customers to seamlessly facilitate the growth of their cargo operations utilising the combined expertise of CHEP and ACL Airshop. Airlines and charter companies will now have unparalleled global access to the highest quality products, 24/7 service, and extremely competitive pricing.”
