Arrows Up to Host SeKure Box Draw at Pack Expo 2012

One company to look for at the upcoming Reusable Packaging Pavilion of Pack Expo 2012 is Arrows Up, Inc. The entrepreneurial company pins its  strategy on quickly coming to market with specialized products to resolve customer problems.

The genesis for Arrows Up was listening to the needs of customers, says John Allegretti, President/CEO of the reusable packaging company, now almost four years in business. “We pride ourselves on being a customer-centric organization and always welcome input from our customers and vendors,” he elaborates. Collectively, the management and operations team has over 65 years of combined experience in the packaging and logistics industry.

John has been in the packaging industry for over 25 years. Previous ventures included involvement in containers for medical waste, including the development a line of sharps containers. Subsequently, he got involved with a company selling plastic pallets.  While with the plastic pallet company at a material handling industry trade show, John heard from a potential customer who was having trouble  finding a bulk seed box that would meet his needs. John developed a solution, and with that product came the beginnings of Arrows Up.

Its mission to create innovative, efficient and safer solutions for the bulk storage and transportation industries, Arrows Up quickly discovered that the seed box market is extremely competitive, and so it has looked to apply its Bulk Transport System (BTS) solution to other industries. It has begun to strike paydirt for its BTS in applications requiring bulk shipping, ranging from seed to golf balls. Arrows Up has successfully used the system to cost effectively replace bulk sack shipping for sand and wood fuel pellets.

Features of the Arrows Up product line include 4-way entry and stackable containers, which can bear 10,000 pounds of weight on top. The Arrows Up containers are not only used for shipping, but also for storage of items such as seed. One growing market for the company is its SeKure Box  for trade show booths and other storage needs.

The company differentiates itself from both high volume suppliers and purely custom fabricators. John sees Arrows Up somewhere in the middle. Because the molds for plastic IBCs are extremely expensive, typically companies offer only a limited amount of products. Arrows Up, on the other hand, can more cost-effectively fabricate differentiated solutions that others may not be able to provide. “If it makes financial sense, we will build those specialized containers for them,” said John. “That is how we want to grow.”

“If you need 50 or 200 specialized containers, we can design a product that meets your unique needs, and we can do it quickly,” John says.  We also have the capability to produce large quantities of any BTS.”

Arrows Up, Inc. is a member of the Reusable Packaging Association, and the company will be participating in the Reusable Packaging Pavilion, at the upcoming PACK EXPO show

John says that Arrows Up will be giving away SeKure Boxes at Pack Expo through a drawing.  He encourages attendees to come to booth 6828 to find out more.
