AIAG Supply Chain Packaging Technical Networking Session Announced

AIAG will host its next of its Supply Chain Packaging Technical Networking sessions on May 10, 2016, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. To take place at AIAG headquarters in Southfield, this half-day session will focus on the latest trends and challenges facing automotive inbound supply chains from a packaging perspective.

Speakers will give trend-focused presentations on returnable container management, yard management, RFID, intercontinental solutions, the path to big data, and AIAG’s recently released Returnable Transport Item Portal (orphan container recovery).

This event also offers the opportunity to join like-minded professionals in a networking environment during breaks to further exchange ideas and other industry-related information.

AIAG RTI Portal (Returnable/Orphaned Containers)

AIAG has created a new online portal to help connect OEMs and suppliers who have lost returnable transport items (RTIs) with those who have found them. The AIAG RTI Portal facilitates the process of locating lost RTIs (called orphans) as well as clearing them from the factory floor or warehouse where they were left. The goal is to save the industry time and money by facilitating the search-and-recovery process.
