AIAG Expands Global Automotive Quality and Materials Management Training to Help Companies Deliver the Same Content at All Their Locations

By making its CQI and MMOG/LE training available in country and in language around the world, AIAG helps automotive companies ensure that their international sites are receiving the same training as their North American sites.

Through collaborations with a new group of certified training and publications partners around the world, the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) is helping international automotive companies ensure that all employees have access to the same critical content in quality and materials management.

Training in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Materials Management Operations Guideline/Logistics Evaluation (MMOG/LE) is now available in 15 countries through partners authorized to deliver this information in country and in language on AIAG’s behalf.

“These new collaborations allow automotive suppliers to get authentic training and content from AIAG-certified providers,” says Stacy Ward, AIAG’s commercial services manager. “Now, companies with locations around the globe will know exactly where to go to make sure that all their employees receive consistent messaging and the exact same training in important areas like CQI and MMOG/LE, and the training will be delivered in the employees’ own country and in their native language.”

Plexus will provide the AIAG-certified training in automotive quality, and QAD will supply the training for MMOG/LE. A list of publications and guidelines available in various languages is available on the AIAG website at www.aiag.org.

“With the global expansion of AIAG’s most popular training, automotive companies can be assured that employees are getting the same training in China, India, and other locations as they are in the U.S.,” Ward says. “A lack of consistency drives all the way down to quality. If each plant is doing things differently, company products manufactured in different locations will not be the same.”

Ward says the expansion is in response to international automotive companies looking to ensure that the training they offer in multiple locations is AIAG-certified content. The AIAG training is in demand because it is developed by AIAG member companies, including automakers, Tier One, and Tier Two suppliers.
