For anyone interested in a well written overview article of EPAL within the context of global trade and pallet footprint harmonization, check out the article by business consultant Allan Austin, entitled EPAL Looks to Global Expansion, And Addresses Challenges.
Generally this is a very good read. Just a couple of notes from the pallet-obsessed: the pallet being pushed internationally I believe is the 1200×1000, not the 1000×1200 as Allan indicates. (Any clarification on the footprint item is appreciated.) Also, we should note that Robert Hollinger has been announced as the new EPAL President to replace Stan Bowes.
