When Was the First “Europallet” Introduced?

While national railways were developing their own pallet pools in the 1950s, it wasn’t until the 1960s that the first railways joined forces to create a Europe-wide standard pallet. If we take a look today at the technical specifications back then, we notice very few differences to present-day EPAL/EUR pallets. A quality standard that has stood the test of almost 50 years.
